A Call for Action
I do not wish to talk any further about the election. I do, however, wish to discuss CHANGE and how we as individuals in “charity based organizations” can generate it within our own communities. Now is not a time to lose hope but rather re-purpose your fear and dissatisfaction into a positive force. Take action with your local shelters, women’s centers, crisis centers, LGBTQ associations and any other programs that you feel will be more negatively effected in coming years of uncertainty.
Do not march hateful and angry, but instead take a stand for things that you support and believe. Show your community that you are there for it. Be active in the growth and development of POSITIVE achievements. Whether through a facial hair team or some other vast number of ways you can get involved and make a difference. Passion and drive are a force to be reckoned with and should be utilized to their full powerful potential.
I truly believe that my day to day actions and the organizations that I choose to be apart off continue to reflect a positive image on the face of our community. People need to come together and unite for common cause. The higher our numbers, the better our results, but even a small group can accomplish many great things. I have seen this and know it to be true.
So please take the time to research ways you can get involved with something positive and helpful as I am sure there is something you are passionate about enough to fight for in the right way. Refrain from spreading hatred and being unkind as there is already hate running rampant on this earth. Bring something new to the table, like RESULTS.
Thank you,
Captain Isaacs
